Who knew they were from Boston?
The New Kids on the Block performed at the Xcel Energy Center on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008. At 9:08 the show got started with this sequence of words on the giant screen on stage:
The tiny lights you see on the bottom are the hundreds of cell phones and cameras ready to catch a glimpse as the "New Kids" entered the stage.
In the crowd, thousands of 20 and 30-year-old women screamed as Danny Wood, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Jordan and Jonathan Knight took stage.
Out of the 13,000 attendees I saw a hand full of men and that's including the men on stage. I pointed out the men in this picture. I counted three...
One of the guys in the crowd saw the himself on the Pioneer Press website and wrote to the paper.

Offsetting himself from the group by wearing pink, the fan favorite seemed to be youngest member Joey McIntyre.
The media had to shoot from the back of the arena, making it very hard to get tight shots. However, the big screen helped to give the effect of far-away-close-up. It also made it easy to make shots repetitive and boring.
The New Kids on the Block will be touring through February 2009.
